For those families participating in U10, U12, and U14, and are interested in a more competitive soccer environment, we are in the process of selecting coaches and forming All Star, Spring, and Turkey teams. See below for more info on each type of program.

For your U10 to U14 child, please register their interest in playing for a competitive Spring and/or Turkey team, and whether they plan to attend the Sunday October 27 evaluations between 3:30pm and 6:30pm at John Adams Middle School (JAMS) in Santa Monica, in the “Event Detail” link below.

If your child is attending, please bring water, a ball, cleats and shin guards.

What is the Spring Select program?

The season runs from January to May/June.

Player type – for players who wish to continue playing more competitive soccer. There are typically multiple Spring teams per division, from U10 to U14, and sometimes also for U8 and U16. Also, the age/division combination carries over from Fall to Spring. If a player is U10 in the Fall, they are also U10 in the Spring (even if they turned 10 years old in January).

Player selection process – Spring teams, as opposed to Fall teams, are based on player interest, coach invitation, and may not be appropriate for all players. After the All Star coaches and players are selected (by early December), Spring coaches begin player selection using multiple factors such as Fall regular season and playoff game performance and the upcoming Spring and Turkey evaluations, which are OPTIONAL. If you miss the evaluations, your child could still be selected by a Spring coach based on their game performance. There are no deadlines, but we aim to form teams by mid-December so that these newly formed teams can start practicing in January. Being interested in coaching or playing Spring does not guarantee a spot on a Spring team. There are usually more players interested in playing Spring than spots available on Spring teams. Spring players are also encouraged to try out for the EXTRA program.

Practices are 2 weekdays per week in Santa Monica.

Games (much like for the EXTRA and All Star teams) include tournaments and Spring league games.

Fees are about $350 for the season.
