How to determine your child’s division for Fall 2026:
Starting in the Fall 2026, US Youth Soccer, AYSO, and Club Soccer are all switching to new age groupings. This is a national change, and all AYSO regions are following it. Old groupings were based on calendar year; new groupings run from August 1 – July 31 and were designed to align more closely with school years. The groupings for the Fall 2026 season are below. Players will be placed automatically into their appropriate age groupings based on birthdates. Please note that after 8U, divisions are 2-year divisions, which means that those divisions will generally cover 2 grades.
Use the chart below to find your child’s division. Locate your child’s birth year in the left column, then look across to see the division they will play in for Fall 2026 (and for Spring 2027 if applicable).
