Volunteer Roles

🌟 Volunteer Roles

Want to make a big impact beyond just your child’s team?
Consider taking on a division-wide or region-wide role — these are essential to keeping Santa Monica AYSO running smoothly!

Many of these roles are flexible and can be done from home on your own schedule. (Note: Safe Haven training & certification may be required for some positions.)

👟 Be a Team Manager – The Ultimate Team Support Role!

Love keeping things organized and helping your team run smoothly? 📝⚽
Team Managers are the behind-the-scenes MVPs — coordinating schedules, uniforms, snacks, and team communication.

We use the MOJO App to keep everyone up to date — it’s an easy tool for managing your team’s calendar, sending messages, and sharing game info all in one place.

If you’re a great communicator and like supporting coaches and families, this is a fun and rewarding way to get involved. No soccer knowledge needed — just bring your organization and team spirit!

📅 Event Volunteers

Help make our special programs run smoothly! From checking in players at Skills & Scrimmages to supporting Monday Night Training with Coerver, Event Volunteers keep things organized and welcoming.

A great role for friendly, dependable folks who want to pitch in — no soccer experience required! 🙌
Most events happen on weekends or weekday evenings, and shifts are short and easy to manage.

🏟️ Field Management

Help ensure everyone follows the rules of our Santa Monica turf fields — especially no pets, and no food or drinks on the field (water only!).
Volunteers may also assist with light setup or field equipment when needed.

Keeping our fields clean and compliant helps us maintain access — and keeps the game safe for everyone!

📰 Social Media Coordinator

Got social media skills or a creative eye? 📱✨
We need help keeping our Instagram and other social platforms fresh with updates, photos, and announcements.

If you’re great at writing captions, creating fun posts, or just love sharing good news — we’d love your help! Writers, content creators, and digital-savvy volunteers welcome!

👀 Practice Chaperones

Be an extra set of eyes at practice! Practice Chaperones help ensure a safe environment by being present during weekday practices — especially helpful when a coach is solo.

No soccer knowledge required — just your presence and attention.
A perfect role for parents already at the field during practice. Even signing up for just one day a week makes a big difference!
